They hosted an Earth Day event last week Friday for employees to participate in. I collected a full garbage bag of trash. Proud //   of my little man! He did such a great job on his fly fishing project for the school expo. He learned a lot about his new fly rod and what equipment he would need to go fly fishing. He can't wait to go fly fishing with his dad soon!  His teacher video taped him explaining his project to the class and made sure to ask him questions about what he learned.  He also won a Young Authors award for his folk tale, "How the dog learned to fetch". Starting //   my weekend with gorgeous flowers from Trader Joe's. Every time I have a chance to shop at Trader Joe's, which is not very often, I always make sure to buy a bouquet of beautiful flowers.  Cleaning //   out dressers, closets and drawers! This past weekend I cleaned out both kids closets and dressers. I made them both try on piles of clothes.  It feels so good to know what they have, what they need and less mess! This year, I didn't set out any lofty goals for the year;  I decided to work on monthly goals. Last month was a crazy month with substitute teaching, going to Mexico with my husband and starting my new job. April is a new month!! This month I have decided to share my monthly goals in hopes that it pushes me a little harder to keep them & work a little harder.   1. Take at least 10,000 steps a day. I am hoping my new Fitbit will help me get to my goal.  I have been having a hard time getting back into gear after vacation. I am really excited about my new Fitbit and the challenges each week to get my steps in.  2. Clean out my scrapbook room/sewing room/exercise room. It's time to clean up the room that looks like a tornado went through. It's going to be a really big task, but it needs to be done!   I have been compiling "stuff" in my craft room for years. Walking//   my way back to being fit with my new Fitbit. I am so ready to get back in gear. This new Fitbit was the extra boost I needed to get in my 10,000+ steps a day again.     Laughing//   at the silly April Fools joke at work. My co-worker sent a mass email that she brought donuts to work. When I opened the box to look at the donuts, the box was filled with veggies and dip!
