Choose Happy by Enjoying the Water
This week's topic for the #ETHANproject is ENJOY the WATER... and we did just that this week! Our family loves the water. I grew up spending a lot of time on the water, whether it be a small lake near our home, a trout stream to fly fish, plenty of time on Lake Superior, the local pool or anywhere we could possibly swim & splash around! I grew up with parents that had a love for water and I am continuing to share this love of water with my children.
Sunday//We enjoyed the water by taking our son fly fishing for the first time! He had a great time learning with Dad on Father's Day, but loved splashing & swimming in the river even more!! His sister enjoyed throwing rocks, splashing in the water and swimming in her clothes!
Monday// The kids enjoyed the water by playing in our blow up kiddie pool, running around in the freshly cut grass and jumping back in the pool to create a grassy mess! But they had a blast & cooled off after a hot day!
Tuesday// I enjoyed the water by attending my first water aerobics class of the summer. It felt so good to get a great work out & be in the water!
Wednesday// We all enjoyed the water at my hometown pool after a long work day. My cousin from Alaska was home visiting family with her children, so we enjoyed an evening swimming with the kids!!! The kids loved jumping off the diving board, sliding down the twirly slide & being silly with their cousins.
We just LOVE the water. If I have had a long day at work or the kids are in a bad mood, going swimming or playing in the water always makes us feel better!
I invite you to join me in the #ETHANproject and Enjoy the Here and Now with your family and children. Go to your local swimming pool, dig out the water guns, set up the sprinkler & enjoy water as a family! And when you do share with them, share it with all of us. Simply share your pictures and story in this Facebook thread and use #ETHANproject. Oh…and while you are at it, check out some of the other creative and fun ways that #ETHANproject participants have shared the view with their children.
